Why I Haven't Posted An Article in Two Months [OPEN IMMEDIATELY]
Reflecting over this year's Tournament of Champions, going over updates, and providing new and better content. MUST READ.
2024 Tournament of Champions
The most exciting time of the Jeopardy! year is finally here, the Tournament of Champions. With 27 players in this field, we are looking at what might be one of the most stacked lineups in game show history. We have high-caliber players like Cris Pannullo, Ray Lalonde, Juveria Zaheer, Yogesh Raut, Emily Sands, Hannah Wilson, Ben Chan, and so forth… while it’s not quite as superstar-level as 2022 was, it’s certainly going to be a sight to behold. With this current tournament being as stacked as it is, I took some time to revisit some older tournaments and other lore related to Jeopardy! history. Here’s what I’ve been working on…
Ever since Davies took over the leadership role in regards to the show’s direction, the ToC has become more and more inclusive. From 15 players in the first 29 tournaments, to 21 in the 30th tournament, to 27 in this current tournament. I made an article a couple months ago that I’m really proud of about the players who would have played a ToC if not for unusual circumstances.
For a while now, I’ve been struggling with getting myself to be creative. I’ve been so immersed in my love for the show that I forgot about my love for writing. I’m slowly getting back into it as I avenge myself against writer’s block, but not without reaching out to other creative ventures…
I am switching over to video content. I’ll still be writing on occasion but the content will be different than what you might be used to. It’s going to involve more talking about current Jeopardy! events, with more of my opinions at the forefront as the show seems to become the center of controversy more than ever. I’ve spent the past couple of weeks working on expanding the aforementioned article about missing Tournament of Champions players, which I really do recommend everyone to read if they haven’t already, into a professionally edited and narrated YouTube video. My channel has surpassed 1,000 subscribers and with more watch hours that’ll be accumulated as a result of this upcoming video, I’ll be able to start earning revenue from content. I’ve always wanted to be a content creator but never had the motivation or tools before. Now I have that motivation, as well as a yearning for more tools as I go along.
This video will also feature a bonus segment on one more player who wasn’t invited to a ToC in any capacity, but would have been if not for certain circumstances. This is not in the old article but it will be in the video with extensive research and reporting. I really appreciate the many people who have subscribed and kept up with my content across the world and I hope you’ll join me in this pivotal change of direction. Your support means everything to me and keeps not just this publication going, but breeds more innovation into my hobbies.
If you’re anxious to see the full video, you won’t have to wait too much longer. But for all my paid subscribers, and those who wish to become one, you’ll get to see the progress on the first half… to give you an idea of what kind of content I’m switching to! I’m really, really proud of the work I’ve done and for the first time in months I’ve felt inspired to do so. I hope you’ll join me in this content odyssey I’ve embarked on. I’ll be providing a link to the first half below a paywall here. You don’t want to miss out on this video, especially in the midst of the current drama that is the 2024 Tournament of Champions!!!!!
